UNO-R Deans attend UMAP

 

Five Deans of the University of Negros Occidental –Recoletos attended the Regional Conference on Strengthening Internationalization on Higher Education through University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) Model held in Iloilo Grand Hotel last July 10, 2008. They are College of Arts and Sciences Dean and Assistant Dean, Rev. Fr. Joel Alve,OAR and Mrs. Marian Eusoya,RMT, College of Engineering Dean, Engr. Christopher Taclobos, College of Business and Accountancy Dean, Dr. Clifford John Salugsugan and College of Nursing Dean, Dr. Elvi Lucila Bajador, RN.

UNOSSGO issues stand on PNOC

The UNO-Recoletos Supreme Student Government Senate issued resolution No. 21 declaring its vehement opposition to the PNOC-EDC intrusion to the Mt. Kanlaon Forest Reserve Buffer Zone. The resolution was sponsored by Senator Edrian Acosido and was approved by UNORSSGO President Noami Eurice Channel Dimayuga.

UNO-R Holds Seminar on Robotics

  
With the aim to sustain the interest and develop the use of robots in education, Pinoy Robot Games Foundation in cooperation with the College of Information Technology of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, will conduct a two – day Training the Trainers on Robotics. This will be on July 23 – 24, 2008 for College Teachers and on July25 – 26, 2008 for Elementary and High School Teachers.

PSITE Holds Seminar at UNO-R

The Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators – Western Visayas (PSITE – WV) Chapter is holding its 13th PSITE – WV Regional Convention on July 24 – 25, 2008 at the President’s Hall of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, Bacolod City.The theme of the convention is “Trends and Innovation in Information/Communication Technology”.

New Dean Installed

 
Fr. Joel A. Alve, OAR is the new Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos. The turn – over ceremony was done at the Corporate Hall of the University on the 18th of June 2008.
