With the aim to sustain the interest and develop the use of robots in education, Pinoy Robot Games Foundation in cooperation with the College of Information Technology of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, will conduct a two – day Training the Trainers on Robotics. This will be on July 23 – 24, 2008 for College Teachers and on July25 – 26, 2008 for Elementary and High School Teachers.
Training will be conducted at St. Ezekiel D. Moreno Laboratory 10 of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, Bacolod City.
Program of Activities
Day 1
Robotics in Education Construction Principles Orientation to the Robot Kits Building the First Robot Reflective Discussion on Teaching Points Basic Programming and Running of Robot Motors, Power and Gears More Programming and Movement Activity
Day 2
Robot Games and Events around the World Different Robot Kits and Their Uses Discussion of Sensors (Using, Building) Programming with Sensors Constructing with Sensors More Reflective Discussion on Programming and Electronics Disassembling, Checking of Robots
A minimal registration fee will be charged to cover food and certificates of participants.
A maximum of 2 participants per school will be accommodated to allow more basic education and information technology education institutions to take part in this undertaking.
