The Colleges of Arts and Sciences and Engineering of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos hosted the First Province Wide Math and Science Quiz last September 5, 2007 as one of the highlights of the University Week 2007.
A collection of Blades, Weapons and other memorabilia of Dominador “Jun” Villaluna, Jr. is on exhibit at the 2nd floor of St. Augustine Building. This exhibit is sponsored by the College of Criminology.

The launching of English Speaking Campaign was successfully made last September 4, 2007 at the Amphitheatre with the support from our Vice President for Academics, Rev. Fr. Raul Buhay, OAR; in behalf of the College Deans, Mr. Elmer T. Haro; Director of Libraries, Mrs. Arabella M. Ananoria; and the UNORSSGO President, Mr. Ivan Roger Bullos.
The UNO-Recoletos University Week 2007 opened with a long motorcade last September 4, 2007. It was followed by a “Floor Dance” participated in by the different Colleges and Departments of the University.
The UNO-R Kasadyahan Dance Company presented “Padre Ezekiel, A life Story” last September 3, 2007 with Matinee and Gala shows at the UNO-R Gym.
A walk for healing in honor of St. Ezekiel Moreno was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Student Welfare and Student Affairs in cooperation with the Office of the Vice President for External Affairs last August 19, 2007. The walk commenced from the Provincial Lagoon and ended at the UNO-R Gym.
The annual search for Occidental Negros Institute (ONI), University of Negros Occidental (UNO) and UNO-Recoletos outstanding alumni is on. The Blue and Gold Alumni Association, Inc. is now accepting nominations for the search. Deadline for the submission of nominations is on August 15, 2007.
The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos High School Department placed second among 23 participating private and public schools in the 2007 Regional Cluster Journalism Writeshop and Golden Pen Awards last July 28-29, 2007 at St. John’s Institute Gym.
