The whole Mass Communication Department joined the 3rd Bishop-Media Forum held at the Sanctuario de La Salle last January 14. The forum was the first of a series of candidates’ fora spearheaded by the Diocese of Bacolod Commission on Social Communications.

The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, College of Arts and Sciences, Medical Technology Department is strengthening its linkages with international schools by having a visiting staff from Cornell University New York last. She is Prof. Cosette Ibañez Kooser, a Research Specialist/Andrologist of the Center of Reproductive Medicine, Cornell University New York. Hearing the person is a rare and extremely valuable opportunity. She is an expert in laboratory research for several years in the USA, including the Study of West Nile Virus under the Department of Health, New York, study on El-Tor under the Philippine-Japan WHO Research Studies and the latest is the newest fast advancing field on Reproductive Medicine at the CornellUniversity. Prior to engaging in research, she had been actively involved in teaching, handling Science and Math at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, teaching professional subjects in Medical Technology at Perpetual Help College, Manila and in the School of Health Technology at Bauchi, Nigeria.
