The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos held the Turn Over Ceremony and Installation of Religious and Lay Administrators for the Academic Year 2009-2010 on June 16, 9:00 AM at the President’s Hall.
The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos welcomed Academic Year 2009-2010 as it formally started classes for all levels yesterday, June 15.
Enrollment figures for the First Semester of Academic Year 2009-2010 have improved as compared to last year’s. Below are the enrollment figures per college/department as of June 15, 2009.
Guided by the principle that education is not contained within the four corners of the classroom, the UNO-R Administration is cooperation with Bayan – Muna – Negros held a forum on Con – Ass at the UNO-R President’s Hall last Monday, June 15, 2009.
A three-day leadership seminar workshop was held at UNO-Recoletos last May 26, 27 and 28, 2009. This annual activity is sponsored by the UNO-R Administration in cooperation with the Supreme Student Government, UNO-R League of Governors and the UNO-R Campus Organizations Federation. The design of the training –workshop is patterned from Big Brother, Survivor and Amazing Race.

Seven students from Welcome Home Foundation, Inc. (WHFI) completed the Baking Lessons for the Deaf Program offered by UNO-R under the College of Business and Accountancy Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) Department.
Twelve students from Welcome Home Foundation, Inc. (WHFI) have completed the Computer for Hearing Impaired program (CHIP) of UNO-R under the College of Information Technology. In this connection, a Closing Program was held last April 13, at 3:00 PM at the President’s Hall.

The UNO-R Religious Administrators tendered a Testimonial Dinner in honor of Mrs. Arabella Ananoria, Director of Libraries, whose retirement took effect as of her 60th birthday on January 10, 2009. In recognition of Mrs. Ananoria”s 39 years of service to the University, a simple program was offered last March 31, 2009 at the Caribbean Resort, Goldenfields Commercial Complex, Bacolod City .
