The UNO-R Religious Administrators tendered a Testimonial Dinner in honor of Mrs. Arabella Ananoria, Director of Libraries, whose retirement took effect as of her 60th birthday on January 10, 2009. In recognition of Mrs. Ananoria”s 39 years of service to the University, a simple program was offered last March 31, 2009 at the Caribbean Resort, Goldenfields Commercial Complex, Bacolod City .
The tribute started with an Opening Message from University President, Fr. Sixto M. Bitangjol, OAR. Dr. Nena Samillano, UCCPD Head, interpreted Mrs. Ananoria’s favorite “Some Good Things Never Last”. Messages of appreciation and gratitude came from Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR, Prior of the UNO-R Community; Miss Nilda Jamili, HRMO Associate Officer; and Mrs. Carmenda Leonoras, University Registrar.
Messages recorded on video were also presented. After which, an MTV of “A Journey” featuring the Fray Luis de Leon Library staff together with Mrs. Ananoria was played. Frs. Bitangjol and Buñao presented the Certificate and Token of Appreciation to Mrs. Ananoria, who in return gave a very grateful and heartwarming response. A Surprise Tribute was then made to the OAR Administrators who have received new assignments – Fr. Antonio Limchaypo, OAR; Fr. William Villaflor, OAR; Fr. Jay Parilla, OAR; and Fr. Raul Buhay, OAR. Each of them was given a Message Board signed by their staff and other administrators. Community Singing of “Thank You” capped the program. At dinner, SARF Band composed of Lino Sumbillo, Ferdinand Concepcion, and Jovito Moral entertained the guests with their music.
