The Academic Information Management System or AIMS has enhanced the enrollment system and academic record keeping of the University of Negros Occidental Recoletos in Bacolod City.
Region 6 Commission on Higher Education Director Isabela L. Mahler urged Colleges and Universities in Negros Occidental to make a review of their curriculum to make their course offerings relevant worldwide.

The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Bacolod signed a memorandum of agreement with the Armed Forces of the Philippines Educational Benefit System (AFPEBSO) that grants full scholarship to three (3) dependents of soldiers killed-in-action. The Kyoto Renaiss Hospital from Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto, Japan expressed its interest to forge partnership with UNO-R Bacolod College of Nursing through a scholarship program. This came about after the successful partnership of another Japanese firm Marufuko Sangyo Limited with the College of Engineering.
The University Community Development Office (UCDO) of UNO-R Bacolod hosted the 1st OAR Schools Community Extension Program Implementers' Assembly last June 23-24,2007 to realign the thrust of the outreach programs of the Recoletos Schools all over the country to the news formulated Vision-Mission of Recoletos Education.
