Thirteen Fourth Year High School Students of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos made it to the Finals of the First Province Wide On-the-Spot Essay Writing Contest of UNO-R English and Mass Communication Department after the Elimination Round held last February 26 at the Fr. Cuenca Hall in UNO-R.
The UNO-Recoletos College of Engineering was proclaimed champion during the 3rd Regional Engineering and Architecture Students Quiz Bowl held at Central Philippine University, Jaro, Iloilo City last March 7, 2008.
Around 600 participants from different schools in the province joined the 3rd Youth Jamboree last March 1 and 2 at the UNO-Recoletos Amphitheater. It was organized by the UNO-Recoletos Campus Ministry Office, VP-External Office and Director of Student Affairs Office. Children of Mary (COM), Students Catholic Action of the Philippines (SCAP), College of Education Interns and member of different religious congregations acted as facilitators during the activity.
