The Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNEd) aims to develop highly motivated, inspiring, and competent teachers specializing in special needs education.
The Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNEd) Program of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos aims to produce graduates who will instruct and manage students with additional needs in inclusive and segregated educational settings. The graduates will be equipped to teach basic education curriculum and alternate curricula depending on the needs of the students. Those who will teach in the elementary level will be trained across different subject areas while those who will teach in the secondary level will provide educational support to students with additional needs in inclusive classrooms. The graduates of this program are special education teachers who are articulate in their field of practice and can communicate in English and Filipino both orally and in writing; competent in employing innovative teaching approaches, methodologies, and strategies using appropriate educational technology; and active in leading relevant and transformative changes to improve Special Education learning and teaching.
