The officials of the Department of Education of Bacolod City conducted a documentation and ocular visit at the university, August 6. ย They checked on the universityโs preparedness to offer the tracks for Senior High School as mandated in the IRR of RA 10533 or the Enhanced Basic Education Law. The DEPEd Validating team is composed of : Janalyn Navarro, PhD, Chief, CID; Gregorio C. Moyani, PhD, Chief, SGOD; Ellen G. de la Cruz, Education Program Supervisor, LRMDS, Senior High School Coordinator; Dexie D. Malay-ang, Education Program Specialist, Social Mobilization and Celestino Nifras, SREPS, SGOD. The group from the university that faced the DEPEd were: Basic Education Director and High School Principal Rev. Fr. Abraham Latoza, OAR; SHS program Coordinator, Mrs. Alon Song; Dr. Jelyn Gaspillo, chair of the Marketing Committee for UNO-R SHS; Director of Libraries Shiela de la Cruz; University Registrar, Dr. Carmenda Leonoras; Dean Elmer Haro; Dean Christopher Taclobos; High School Asst. Principal Harry Magluyan;and HS Guidance consultant Mrs. Wilma Maravilla.
