DEAR REV. PENASCOZA,

Thank you so much for making the Christmass celebration of the Guinsaugon-landslide victims merrier despite of the great loss they have experienced some ten month ago.

The Diocese, through its Diocesan Social Social Action Center, still helps in the rehabilitation of the victims and we have provided housing for 2 communities in fact, the New Guisaugon Village will formally be turned-over to the recipients this December 26, 2006.  The Diocese also provides some livelihood projects for the others and the purpose of which is for their sustainability and for them to be able to starta new with their lives. The Diocese is taking care of some 45 students left orphaned by the tragedy in their college education until they finish the courses of their choice.  These orphans are provided with everything they need and they are housed in Hostel and directly taken cared of by a nun and house parents.

The Diocese could not have done all these without your support.  Thus, once again, in behalf of the beneficiaries of your generosity, and in behalf of the Dioces of Maasin, I thank you so much for the help you extended.

May God shower you, your family, and your noble endeavor His blessings of prosperity and happiness.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

With prayerful best wishes, I remain

Sincerely yours in Christ,

MOST REV. PRECIOSO D. CANTILLAS, SDB, DD

Bishop of Maasin
