The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy equips students with knowledge and skills in both basic and advanced accounting concepts, principles and procedures to enable them to understand their accountability and, as a result, will enable them to meet the demands of the profession. It is aimed that students will become professional and competent accountants, who will make greater contributions to society.
The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Program of the University of Negros Occidental (UNO) – Recoletos aims to produce competent professional accountants who are capable of making a positive contribution to the profession ad society in which they work; provide foundation of professional knowledge, professional skills, values, ethics, and attitudes to enable them to continue to learn and adapt to change throughout their professional lives; prepare students for the CPA licensure examinations and for a long-term professional career responsive to the challenges of the workplace and the ethical standards set by the profession; develop the student’s research skills and develop their confidence in approaching problems and issues related to the Accountancy profession, and to develop awareness and appreciation of accounting practices in the Philippines and relate these to the global business scenario.
