The five newly-ordained priests of the Order of Augustinian Recollects had their Thanksgiving Mass at the Oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentine last January 9, 2019. The Main Celebrant for the Thanksgiving Mass was Rev. Fr. Elpedio N. Sarita, Jr., OAR, who had his exposure at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos and is from Valencia, Negros Oriental. Together with him are his con-celebrants: Rev. Fr. Kenneth S. Caligdong, OAR; Rev. Fr. Kenneth B. Pahamutang, OAR; Rev. Fr. Paul S. Demillones, OAR; Rev. Fr. Neil Ryan E. Jarumay, OAR; and the Recoletos de Bacolod community. Fr. Jarumay, in his homily, told the youth to reflect and believe. He further stated that the youth should believe in love. He added that love is reflected in thanksgiving and in vocation. Before the final blessing, Rev. Fr. Elpedio N. Sarita, Jr., OAR, gave his acknowledgments to UNO-R. He also reminisced his days in UNO-R and asked the people to pray for him in his vocation.
