Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon, SDB, DD issued circular letter no. 2017 -017 enjoining all Catholic faithful of the Diocese to participate in the launching of “RED WEDNESDAY” on November 22, 2017. This is in response to the call of the Pontifical Charity Organization, Aid to the Church in Need (ACN). The Bishop called on all communities to celebrate Mass dedicated to all persecuted Christians; illumine the façade of churches with red lights; encourage all the faithful to light red candles and wear red t-shirts; make personal prayer intentions for all persecuted Christians; display tarps and posters on RED WEDNESDAY; and pray the Angelus for Persecuted Christians from November 22 – December 10, 2017.
