UNORIANS JOIN FAITHFITNESS 2017

Bringing Dinagyang to Bacolod City was the aim of the jog, dance and eat- triathlon-alike event that happened last January 21, 2017 at Bacolod City Government Center. The activity kicked-off at around 5:30 AM which was participated by both students and faculty members of different schools, colleges and universities in the city particularly our University. The prayer was led by Mr. Lourd John Diaz, President of Sowing Legacy Movement UNO-R Chapter. Then, warm-up exercises were led by the members of Youth Empowering Youth Initiative (YEY!). The jog activity followed. Participants ran at about 1.5 kilometers. After, everyone was energized by the enthusiastic groove of hips, hands and legs as they joined the Zumba led by the Student Catholic Action of the Philippines UNO-R Chapter with the use of upbeat religious music. Then, to reflect on the day’s gospel, Bro. Romel Lagata, TMP shared a short message of hope to the participants with the aim of strengthening their faith in Him. Bro. Romel even cited and acknowledged the courage of all the participants who stayed long despite of the bad weather. Snacks were distributed to all. Mr. Jade T. Miraflores, Executive Director of Sowing Legacy Movement, thanked everyone for their undying support to the organization in each of its endeavor. FaithFitness was organized by RNRJ, Sowing Legacy Movement, YEY!, and University Community Development Office of UNO-R. Also, present during the activity were UNO-R Personnel, UCDO Coordinators and UCDO Volunteers. (Lourd John Diaz, BSMC IV)
