Generoso Villanueva, Sr. NHS emerged as champion of HipHop High Dance Competition Season 9 last January 22, 2016 at the University Gymnasium. Luisa Medel NHS and Mansilingan Agro-Industrial High School got the 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Other participating schools were Cabug NHS, Jack & Jill School Castleson High-Homesite, Doña Montserrat Lopez Memorial High School, Fr. Gratian Murray AFSC Integrated School, Handumanan NHS and E.B. Magalona NHS. Special awards were given to Luisa Medel NHS as Best in Dance Finale and E.B. Magalona NHS and Mansilingan Agro Industrial High School as Best HipHop Performers. The champion received P 20,000; P15, 000 for the 2nd place and P 10,000 for the 3rd place. Non-winning participants received P3,000 as consolation prize and P 1,000 each for the recipients of the special awards. The program started with the usual opening formalities. This activity is conducted to establish avenue for high school students of different public and private schools in the province of Negros to showcase their talents in dancing.
