UNO-R IS SHINES

The University of Negros Occidental –Recoletos Integrated School shines in the NOPSSCEA competitions for elementary. Bringing home the golds from Sacred Heart Seminary Cultural Center, September 27, 2018 are Christian V. Gelotin – Filipino Declamation and Jivo Myles Moral – English Declamation. Paola Marie Gabrido represented UNO-R in vocal solo OPM.

Meanwhile, at the qualifying rounds held at John B. Colleges Foundation held last October 9, 2018, two golds, a silver, and a bronze medal was brought home. The Gold medalists are Gretel Faith Haro (Grade 12) – Impromptu speaking and Aliah Abayon (Grade 10)–Declamation Filipino. Lhean Khen Lobaton and Rojean Zaldivar (grade 12) grabbed the silver in Vocal Duet while Julianne Octavio (Grade 9) placed 3rd in Declamation–English. Patricia Tabligan Talisay (Grade 11) – was UNO-R’s representative to the Vocal Solo competition. In the final round held, October 15 at JBLCF, Julian Octavio (grade 9)–Champion–Declamation – English; Ailiah Abayaon (Grade 10) – 1st runner-up, Declamation, Filipino; Gretel Faith Haro (Grade 12) – 1st runner-up, Impromptu Speaking.

The UNO-R Integrated School joined the Children’s Museum and Library Incorporated (CMLI) 39th Annual National Graders’ Convention, with the theme: “60 Years of Service to God and Nation; Strengthening the Filipino Youth to foster Social Transparency towards sustainable development.”, September 12-16, 2018 at Teachers’ Camp, Baguio City. Bringing home the awards were Christian Gelotin –Champion, Impromptu Speaking –English; Ilyasviel Ryne Sotocinal–1st runner-up–Newswriting English; Rojean Arevalo–1st runner-up – Essay writing Filipino; Christian Gelotin – 1st runner-up – Spoken Word Poetry; Paola Marie Gabrido – 1st runner-up, Miss Graders’ Convention, and Angeli Gumban – 1st runner-up, Poster – Making Contest.
