PLAI–NIRLC HOLDS SEMINAR WORKSHOP AT UNO-R

The Philippine Librarians Association, Inc.–Negros Island Region Librarians Council (NIRLC) in partnership with the Negros Occidental Librarians Association (NOCLA) and CeLogic Philippines and University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, will hold a seminar-workshop on “Fostering Holistic Competencies of Librarians and Information Professionals in Digital Environment” on Aug. 30-31 at the President’s Hall, UNO-R. Librarians, teacher-librarians, LIS students and other information Professionals from Private and Public schools/institutions are the expected participants. Resource speakers from the different fields of expertise are Ms. Marjorie H. Eslawa – “Effective Communication Skills for Information Professionals”; Mr. Lino Sumbillo, RGC –“Conflict and Stress Management: Promoting harmony and Cooperation in the Library Workplace”; Mr. El Jireh Bibangco, MSCS – “Branding the Library and Services to Survive and Thrive”; Mr. Lenuel Betita, MIT-“Marketing the Library and its Services through the Application of Social Media Apps and other Media Tools” and Prof. Rainera Boholst, RL, MSLS – “Enhancing the Research and Collaboration Skills among Teachers and Librarians” and “Issues, Challenges, and Trends in the Profession (Succession Planning; Work attitude; resignation, transfer; Certificate of Good Standing, membership, and other issues.)” ( from FLDL )
