The University of Negros Occidental –Recoletos project ROLEx held a Strategic Management Seminar –Write Shop last January 26-28, 2018. This is a 3-day extensive seminar specially tailored to strategic managers and agriculture educators. The first two-days were held at the Fr. Cuenca Hall while the last day was held at Sugarland Hotel. Dean Annabee Claur, PhD, Dean of the UNO-R College of Arts and Sciences, gave the Opening remarks while Dr. Reymund Sabay, one of the ROLEx proponent, gave the rational of the Write Shop and introduced the participants. ROLEx Project Coordinator, Dr. Corazon Acaba, gave the introduction of the Speaker. The speaker was Aletho Z.M. Cruz, General Manager of Communix Philippines, Inc. (CPI). He talked on Vision, Mission/objectives, and Strategy choices (Day 1); External and Industry Analysis and Internal analysis (Day 2); and Strategy and Formulation Tools, and Strategy Recommendations. Dr. Carmenda Leonoras, UNO-R Associate HRMD officer, gave the closing remarks. Dr. Nieves Pepito of the College of Arts and Sciences, was the emcee. (Christian Cadiao, BSMC 4, PDEA intern)
