The UNO-R Medical Technology are 2017 Grand Slam champions in the USLS College of Medicine competitions held September 11, 2017 at the College of Medicine Marie Mutien Auditorium A. BSMT seniors Shaun Andre V. Tan and Shantyl J. Rufino with Coach Jude Xerxes Herbolario, RMT is the champion in the USLS College of Medicine Intercollegiate Debate. In the Intercollegiate Health Research Proposal Competition, UNO-R emerged as champion in their proposal “Cytotoxic Study of selected Medicinal Annonaceae using Yeast Model.” The UNO-R Champion Team is composed of Medical Technology seniors Anamae Lachica; Rose Alob; Patrice Moreno; Angelica Rodriguez; Ro-Ann Salcedo; Remel Tasic; Inza Teodoro and Myrdal Trabadillo. The team coach is Mr. Dexter Balboa and adviser is Ms. Tracy Sharine Conclara. The team of Oscar D. Jalandra, BSMT 4; Jennydel Bingco and Mark Jason de la Paz (BSMT 3) was the champion in Intercollegiate Quiz Bee. Mrs. Czarina Mae Ferrer, RMT is the team coach. While the mixed group of Isiah Tan (BS Nursing 3); Erika Dawn Caminian (BS Pharma 4) and Icy Runielle Garibay (BSMT 3) got 4th place. (data from College of Allied Health Sciences)
