Six Korean University students have completed the English as a Second Language (ESL) Program at UNO-R Center for Cultural and Professional Development and are going to receive their Certificate of Completion at a simple Closing Ceremony today at 2pm at the President’s Hall. They started their ESL program at the Language Center early in January this year.
Fr. Joel A. Alve, OAR, Vice President for Academics, will deliver his message to the Koreans. After which, the certificates will be distributed by Fr. Alve and Dr. Nena Samillano, UCCPD Head. The Vice President of the AND Academy, Mr. Jong Hyun Lee, will then give his message to the graduate, and a Special Number will be offered by the ESL teachers. Messages will then come from the Korean students Hyunju Yoo, Hyeji Song, Keumhyang Noh, Semi Gim, Jiyoung Choi, and Joongkeun Park.
Aside from the six Korean university students, two walk-in Korean students, Jeonghoon Lee and Jinseong Park, will also finish their ESL program under the tutelage of Miss Lerma Yapiso and Miss Jane Sorallo.
