Ceres – La Salle, UNO-R in College Football Finals

UNIVERSITY of St. La Salle (USLS) is set to defend its title against rival University of Negros Occidental- Recoletos after booking two wins and a draw over the weekend in the Negros Occidental Private School Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (Nopsscea) men’s football. Ceres-La Salle FT dumped John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation- Bacolod. Six-nil on Saturday while reigning runner-up Rams won three-nil over the same squad to arrange a face-off on October 11. Previously USLS and UNO-R ended in a one-all draw in the opener at the North Football Field in Talisay City as Luther Silava scored for UNO-R in the eight minute. Stringer Kit Robles sent in the equalizer on penalty in the 80th minute. In La Salle’s second game, Aoiki Haronori and Kent Guevarra scored two goals each to lead the defending champion to a 12-nil victory over the Lacsonians while the Rams booked a 4-2 win over JBLCF-B in the other game.
