STEP-RITTC CONDUCTS COMMUNITY OUTREACH IN RESOURCE

Twenty-five community members of Recoletos Social Outreach Center (RESOURCE) Handumanan participated in the community outreach of the STEP – Recoletos Industrial and Technological Training Center (RITTC) held on June 22, 2019. The program, themed “Lectures and Workshops on Home and Family Living”, was conducted by Ms. Analie Alamo and Ms. Cris Ann Bani bani, both RITTC alumni.

The program’s objectives are to conduct lectures and workshops to household members of RESOURCE-Handumanan on housekeeping and table etiquette; to inspire the community members to go beyond the modern mentality of a Filipino family; to provide better understanding about housekeeping and table etiquette so they can engage well even outside their homes; and to promote collaborative strategies to increase their level of participation in terms of cleanliness and orderliness not just in their respective households but in the entire community as a whole.

Meanwhile, thirty-nine volunteers represented the present batches of the Food and Beverage Services NC II, and Housekeeping NC II, under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), and Private Education Scholarship Financial Assistance (PESFA), respectively. Also, it was attended by the alumni of RITTC.

Further, the activity was in collaboration with the University Community Development Office (UCDO), the outreach arm of the University, and RESOURCE Inc., the adopted community of UNO-R. The master of ceremony was Ms. Irish Ewican, TWSP FBS NC II trainee. (Mr. Elmeer Meeynard D. Calimpos)
