UNO-R CAS Inks MOA with E-Learning

The College of Arts and Sciences and Tech share Leasing Inc. had a Memorandum of Agreement signing at the President’s Conference Room last November 12, 2014. Techshare and UNO-R will implement the latest in Information and Communications Technology (ICT). E-Learning system is an implementation of the latest advances in ICT to help students to effectively absorb knowledge and acquire skills. UNO-R provides a lab with a local area network to serve 40 computer workstations, each one with its peripherals and accessories and loaded each workstation with a version of Windows 7 that is compatible with the eLearning system. The eLearning lab shall be primarily for the use of students enrolled in courses wherein eLearning is integrated. Coursewares were accomplished in the first semester of academic year 2014-2015 with 150 students enrolled. In this semester, a total of 120 students are enrolled in Hospitality and Tourism Courseware & Personality Development and Career Preparation Courseware. Academic year 2015-16, a total of 1,870 students are expected to accomplish programs in English Grammar and Speech Courseware (18 hrs.); Hospitality and Tourism Courseware (18 hrs) and Personality development and Career Preparation Courseware (18 hrs). In this eLearning system, UNO-R has committed a total of 38,520 seat hours in the academic years 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. (Angelica Javellana, BSMC 2)
