Contestants from the College of Arts and Sciences awed the crowd as they were hailed as the champions in the Star Factor, a competition for vocal solo, vocal duet and pop dance held at the UNO-R Gymnasium last Sept. 7.
Jerson Corugda and Rhea Gemina got first place in the vocal duet competition; Althea Padios was the first placer in the vocal solo contest; and, for pop dance, CAS won as the champion.
First runner – up for the vocal duet came from the College of Information Technology and second runner – up from the College of Criminal Justice Education.
Vocal solo first runner – up came from the College of Business and Accountancy and Second runner – up from the College of Education.
Furthermore, in the pop dance competition, CCJE was the first runner – up; CBA was the second runner – up; and CIT was awarded as the Best in Production Number.
Mr. Reymund Sabay was the chairman of the event.
