Four BS Mass Communication alumni received awards during the 10th Globe Media Excellence Awards (GMEA) held at Radisson Hotel, Cebu City, on March 31, 2023.
They are Dorel Cabatu -Winner for Social Media Video; Lourd John Diaz – Finalist, Newsmaker of the Year and Finalist, #KwentoNgTagumpay for Community; John Dale Salazar- Finalist, Social Media Video and Finalist, News Report for Radio; and Eden Aboso – Finalist, Investigative Story for Digital.
GMEA is an annual event for media practitioners in Western Visayas. This year’s screening committee was composed of 15 members from the academe, NGO’s and other agencies. The top 3 Finalists were selected and judged by seven judges
