The UNO-R community held its Mass of the Holy Spirit last August 30, 2023. REAP President Rev. Fr. Rafael Pecson, OAR, was the Main Celebrant. He shared that If we belong to an Augustinian school and adhere to the Augustinian values of community. A community full of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us the gift of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding amidst all the confusion. Why these gifts? These gifts help us, as UNO-rians, contribute to the community. We are willing to listen and understand one another. Today, there are anger, doubts, jealousy, and all sorts of beliefs, but this Mass of the Holy Spirit will help us leave all of those in order for us to receive the gifts. Therefore, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us the grace of dialogue. It means that one is always willing to listen to understand rather than to prove who’s right and who’s wrong. We want that gift of understanding because even if we come from different walks of life backgrounds, at one point in our academic journey here at UNO-R, we will be able to understand each one. So, he encouraged everyone to always use the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

He was joined by the Local Prior, Fr. Amadeo Lucero, OAR; University President Fr. Joel Alve, OAR; Fr. Romeo Ben Potencio, Jr., OAR; Fr. Owen Maturan; OAR, Fr. Henry Santiago; OAR, Fr. Eduardo Celiz, OAR; Fr. Leo Alaras, OAR; Fr. Emilio Jaruda, Jr., OAR; Fr. Leonardo Pauligue, OAR; Fr. Anthony Morillo, OAR; Fr. Manuel Vergara, OSA, and Msgr. Ronald Quijano, SThD, VG.
