The Religious and Lay Conference was held at the President’s Hall last May 2, 2023.
The conference proper was opened with the invocation led by Dr. Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Jr, Director for External Affairs. Rev. Fr. Leo Alaras, OAR, Vice President for Identity, Formation, and Mission, gave the Spiritual input. His talk focused on hard work and working hard. He quoted Pope St. John Paul II in his exhortation “Laborem Exercens” that we have to use our talents and abilities to make an impact on the world. Fr. Alaras also shared that our work should be directed at serving God, serving others, and creating a positive impact on the world.
The Fr. President gave his Welcome Message. The main business of the conference was Institutional ISO Certification. The presentation and timeline for the said certification were presented by Mrs. Sheila de la Cruz, Director of Fray Luis de Leon Library, and Dr. Chris Feli Joy Tajonera, SDPC Director.
