STEP HOLDS TESOL SEMINAR WELCOME PROGRAM

The Special Technological and Educational Programs (STEP) office welcomes its 16 Korean students for the Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Seminar on January 8, 2020, at the University Little Theater. This educational program for the Koreans is in partnership with Jason English Language School (JELS).

The program started with the usual opening formalities and was followed by a welcome message by Rev. Fr. Don H. Besana, OAR, University President. Then, Mr. Kyoungpill Cho, the school owner of JELS, presented the official students of the said program. The students from Dong-A University are Lim Dahye; Kim Sungi; Byeon Sieun; Baik Sieun; Lee Surim; and Kim Min-ju; while the students from Kookje University are An Seoyoung; Kim Minji; Kim Sieon; Young Chaewon; Lee Dokyo; Jeon Bobin; Yun Jiwon; Lee Minyoung; Kim Hyeonjoong; and, Oh Gyeongseo.

Also, the program was spiced up by an intermission number performed by the Kasadyahan Dance Company. Afterward, Dr. Nena Samillano introduced the TESOL Seminar lecturers.

Among the participating guests were Rev. Fr. Jose Alden B. Alipin, OAR, Vice President for Academics; Engr. Christopher Taclobos, University Registrar; Dr. Carlos Eduardo I. Legaspi, Jr., Director of the External Affairs Office; Mrs. Barbara L. Cordova, Director of KDC; TESOL Lecturers; and Grade 11 students under the STEM Academic Strand of the Senior High School Department. (Dr. Nena P. Samillano and Mr. Elmeer Meeynard D. Calimpos).
