After a half-day of suspension of classes in college after the declaration of storm signal number 2 in Negros, the UNO-R community celebrated the founding anniversary of the Order of Augustinian Recollects through the sacrament of reconciliation at 2 pm and Concelebrated Mass at the Oratory at 4:30. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was celebrated with Rev. Fr. Emeterio Buñao as the Main Celebrant and Rev. Fr. Cornelio Moral, OAR as the homilist. In the the homily of Fr. Moral, he recounted the long history of the Order and explained to the congregation the significance of the Papal Brief “Religiosas Familias”, which its centennial is celebrated by the Order this year. He also stressed that the OAR Religious need the prayer of the faithful and encourage the community to pray for the Priests and the Religious.
