In his speech, he expressed his appreciation and thanked Western Visayas Regional Research and Development Consortium (WESVARRDIC) for the honor of choosing UNO-Recoletos as one of its collaborating partners in the holding of its annual summit.
As he noted the important role of research in the advancement of education, transformation of society and development of man, Fr. Cachero also recognized the inspiring contribution and commendable passion of the participants in advancing research.
The participants were composed by research experts, technical and extension workers from ten state and public colleges and universities, sixteen FITS of the local government units, and five government line units from Guimaras, Iloilo, Aklan, Capiz, Antique, and Negros Occidental.
Former DENR Secretary and CHED Chairman Prof. Angel Alcala, PCARRD-DOST MIS Director Luz Fermalino, PCARRD Asst. Director Synan Baguio, and Director for Research of the DA – Bureau of Agricultural Research are among the experts evaluating the 23 research and development projects submitted for outstanding award competition. #
