June 1, 2007, on the occasion of the birthday of UNO-R’s Vice President for Academics, Fr. Raul Buhay,OAR, the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos broke ground for its latest addition to its infrastructure development, the Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) Laboratory.
This is a two- storey edifice to be built near the College of Engineering office. This will place the university’s HRM program on the forefront of training excellent and world-class HRM graduates.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the religious and lay administrators and the faculty and staff of the College of Business and Accountancy. CBA Dean Dr. Rovic de Leon thanked the religious administrators for realizing the dream of the department to have a state-of-the-art laboratory. Mrs. Jill Matus, HRM Head also gave a message.
