UNO-R Alumna saves kids from burning house in NY

A UNO-Recoloetos B.S.C Management graduate saved her employer’s children and friends from a violent house fire in Stowe , Vermont.

 

30-year-old Hazel Reposo-Capili, a B.S.C.M. graduate of Batch 1997, saved the four young children of her employers- Daniel Wood and his wife, and their two friends.

 

Reposo said one of the children told her of the fire coming out of the garage door. She immediately ordered the children to get out of the house, and then called 911, then her employers on her mobile phone.

 

Reposo received $25,000 as a gift from her wealthy employers.

 

“…not a reward but was meant for the education of Hazel’s son. She took care of out most precious possessions – our children”, they said.

 

Remoso has been working as a nanny since November 2003.For the sake of her five-year-old son, she left the Philippines to work in Bermuda together with her parents and siblings.
