The gift of Education

The University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos provide the gift of education to deserving youth of the province of Negros Occidental and its neighboring provinces through Educational Aide Programs.

The Scholarship Office exercises supervision and coordination of all student scholarship-related activities of the University.

The creation of the Office of the Director of Scholarships centralizes all the scholarship programs of the University, and acts as companion to scholars and grantees in their continuous search for truth and wisdom. This office is a manifestation of the Augustinian Recollect Mission to serve and assist the weak and the poor.

Entrance (For High School Graduates)

Valedictorian

  • 100 or more graduates – 100% tuition fee discount

Salutatorian

  • 100 or more graduates – 50% tuition fee discount
  • 1st – 8th Honorable Mentions (100 or more Graduates) – 25% tuition fee discount

College Admission Test (CAT scholarship)

  • 100% discount on tuition fee only
  • 75% discount on tuition fee only
  • 50% discount on tuition fee only
  • 30% discount on tuition fee only

College of Law Scholarships

Recipient of Baccalaureate Honors
(Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Cum Laude) are given 100% discount on TF provided he or she enrolls immediately following the school year of his/her graduation from the baccalaureate degree program.

College of Law Entrance Examination Scholarship (CLEE)

  • He must have taken the College of Law Entrance Examination during the schedule set by the College of Law and the College Guidance Center for the CLEE;
  • He must have an Above Average Result in the MENTAL ABILITY TEST and at least 87% in the Entrance Examination given by the College of Law;
  • The discount on tuition fees depends on the result:
    • 100% discount on TF only. For the applicant who garnered the highest result in both areas;
    • 75% discount on TF only. For the applicant who garnered the 2nd place in the test result in both areas;
    • 50% discount on TF only. For the applicant who garnered the 3rd place in the test result of both areas.
  • CLEE Scholarship is for one (1) year, provided, he maintains a grade of not lower than 87% in all of his subjects.

Resident Scholarship

Resident Scholarships are for Regular Students who have studied at UNO-R for at least one year.

  • 100% discount on tuition fee only
  • 75% discount on tuition fee only
  • 50% discount on tuition fee only
  • 30% discount on tuition fee only

Recoletos Scholarship Program (RSP)

This program is extended to Family member of the Recollects.

Recoletos Educational Assistance for Deserving Students (READS).

This program is for financially handicapped but deserving students who are willing to be assigned in any offices or laboratories of the university as a training ground for them for future employment. Free tuition and miscellaneous fees plus a monthly allowance are granted to READS Scholars

Requirements:

  • Should have a general average of 85% and above;
  • Must have passed the College Admission Test (CAT);
  • Application must be submitted on or before
  • Latest ITR of Parents or a Certification of Tax Exemption from BIR;
  • Certification from the Parish Priest that he/she is a Parishioner of good standing and also the financial status of parents;
  • Two (2) ID pictures, “2×2” with name plate and white background;
  • Baptismal Certificate
