Office of the Registrar

The office of the Registrar serves as the official record keeping office of the University headed by an ex-officio member of the Academic Council.

Duties and Responsibilites

  • Takes overall charge of the registration of students, seeing to it that only those meeting the pertinent government educational Agencies are admitted;
  • Coordinates the graduation exercises;
  • Consolidates before the start of the school year/term, the schedule of classes submitted by the Deans and Principals;
  • Prepares such statistical reports as may be considered useful or as may be requested by the President, by school officials, or by organizations or individuals entitled to receive them;
  • Plans the academic calendar for submission to the President; secures its approval by the pertinent government educational agencies and, once approved, releases it to all concerned;
  • Helps in the preparation of school catalogs as requested;
  • Furnishes the offices or persons concerned with the pertinent orders/memoranda issued by the pertinent government educational agencies, the CEAP, and other entities;
  • Keeps the official faculty roster, and updates the academic and personal records of each faculty member;
  • Maintains student records; posts and releases such records strictly in conformity with school policies;
  • Advises the HRMDO Director on the appointment, promotion or preparation of his office personnel; clarifies their relationships and responsibilities;
  • Signs requisitions of office materials within the limits of his budget;
  • Draws a preliminary budget for his office and submits to the VP-Finance for proper action; receives budget control reports and explains variances between budgeted and actual expenditures; and
  • Performs other functions as directed by the President through the VP-Academics.
