PAGHALAD SANG KAUGALINGON, KALIPAYAN KATILINGBANON

A program proposed by Fr. Louie Gabinete,OAR to make the University Week socially relevant was the “Paghalad sang Kaugalingon, Kalipayan Katilingbanon.” The program consists of two components: the U-wide Bloodletting activity and the “Fun Run”. These activities do not only aim at uniting the community but these are fund-raising activities for patients undergoing dialysis. The U-wide bloodletting activity is envisioned to create a university blood supply for those in need and is targeting 200 -300 donors on September 7 at the Students’ lounge. There will also be a pre-screening and orientation on September 3, Monday at the IMC. Teachers and student leaders are encouraged to recruit donors. Meanwhile, The “Fun Run” is scheduled on September 9, Sunday at 5:30 am from the Capitol Lagoon to the university. The registration fee will be Php500 for the religious administrators; Php200 for the Lay administrators, Php100 for the employees and Php50 for the students. Those who cannot participate are encouraged to donate for the registration. The fund that will be raised shall be used to start a “fund for patients undergoing dialysis.” Office of VP-Student Welfare will start accepting donations today.
