UNO-R Student Leaders hold Seminar-Workshop

UNO-R Supreme Student Government officers, representatives of the different College Councils and Campus Organizations, totaling to 33 participants, attended a three-day seminar-workshop organized by the UNO-R Office of Student Affairs held at the Sta. Monica Retreat House and the University Mini-gym last May 21, 22 and 23, 2008.

Mr. Faraon Lopez expound the topic of “servant leadership”; Mr. Jessie Cadiz talked about the “self and others”; Ms. Myrna Baynosa discussed the importance of prayer in leadership; Rev.  Fr. Antonio Limchaypo, OAR talked on the myths about leadership while Ms. Elena Doruelo discussed the different leadership skills and principles. Rev. Fr. Joel Alve, OAR lectured on “Tatak Rekoleto” and Mr. Fernando Flores discussed “leadership in today’s society”. UNOSSGO President Noami Channel Dimayuga headed the annual planning of activities and Carlos Legaspi, Jr. talked about management and planning.

The participants were Kenneth Jade Dizon, Johnie Rizaba, Mohammad El Helou, Bladimar Pantillo, Elsie Diaz, Thessa Alba, Dana Moniz Rada, Arbe Bertuso, Czarina Grace Gaureno, Aaron Jude Lui, Darlyn Almodiente, Joanne Rose Dumdum, May Crampatanta, Aderose Consulta, Jennelyn Martir, Janna Mary Lagare, Gerick Hinon, Ma. Nerimar Acuña, John Rich Olvido, Erold Cebua, Joyce Diaz, Honelee Dela Torre, Beljun Ray Tulod, Jefferson Nagtalon, Ma. Lourdes David, Hannah Divina Bocol, Shemamee Clavecillas, Robert Nicole Pesca, Glezia Marie Perez, Rhodney Canada, Channel Dimayuga, Krizel Javellana, Desiree Natibo-oc.

The aim of the workshop is to instill upon these young leaders the real essence of serving and to carve in them the emblem of a real recollect student leader.
