November 16, 2013 was the opening salvo of the College of Information Technology (CIT) Sport Fest 2013. This early sporting festival is dubbed F.I.T. It stands for FITNESS, IT. It started with the annual Fun Run for a cause. The run has three categories: 3K, 5K and 10K. This year’s theme is OPLAN DALAGAN: Dalagan para makabulig sa iban. The accumulated donation of Php 10,000.00 was donated to the LINGKOD EMERGENCY ROOM (LER), Bacolod Chapter, a private, non- profit organization which provide help and support to the indigent patients of the Doña Cozaron Locsin Montilebano Regional Memorial Hospital (DCLMRMH). The said Fun Run was actively participated by IT students, faculty members and IT alumni and by students from other colleges. The following ballgame events contested by the different Year Levels were basketball, volleyball and football. Racquet events include table tennis and badminton. Wood movers displayed their mental competence in chess; paddlers with their prowess in swimming, sprinters in track and field events, bowling, and billiard. Special events were the Air Rifle and Pistol shooting competitions where the Falcons exhibited their keen marksmanship. It was held in the UNO-R Target Range. These sporting activities gave the IT Falcon students a respite in their hectic academic duties. They can at least relax and take a break and enjoy for the meantime, and re-energize themselves before going back to their classroom commitments. The Sport fest culminated on November 27, 2013.
