GREEN VIPERS DOMINATE READS CHEERDANCE COMPETITION

READS Sporsfest Grand Opening Cheerdance Competition started with a team’s assembly at the UNO-R main lobby yesterday, October 22. Six hard-hitting groups vie for the title – Cheerdance Champion. University President Rev. Fr. Emeterio D. Buñao, OAR shared a reflection on how fortunate the READS are. They are molded to be active in the creation of a fine society. Declaration of the Grand Opening was done by the VP-Sudent Welfare, Rev. Fr. Louie F. Gabinete, OAR. READS Sportsfest 2010 MVP Cristobal M. Martinez lighted the torch while the Oath of Sportsmanship was led by Michael V. Gudaca, Chairman, Basketball Sports Committee. Sta. Rita of Cascia’s group (Green Vipers) was declared champion. They showed how the green vipers gnaw vigorously their opponents. Best in Costume, Most Participative Group, Best Cheerleader – Archie Miranda and Cheerdance 2012 Champion. While, Purple Phoenix got 1st runner-up while the Gold Griffins won the 2nd runner-up. Violie May Swela E. Alo and Julie Mea F. Geaga were the emcees.
