UNO-Rians support Run for Hope

Over 800 UNO-Rians participated in the University – wide fun run activity, Run for Hope from the Capitol Lagoon grounds to UNO-R Park 1606, Sept 9.

Kevin Libo-on, a 3rd year Secondary Education student won first place in the Men’s open category with the winning time of 8 minutes and 18 seconds. A Civil Engineering student Leoniza Belleza was the first placer in the Women’s open category finishing the race in 11 minutes and 2 seconds.

For special awardees, Fr. Rouel Sia was the Top Religious Administrator while Mr. Lino Sumbillo, SDPC head and Mr. Mariano Antenor, ITRD Head were the Top male lay administrators. Top female lay administrator was UCDO head Ms. Mely Flores. Top male faculty/employee was Jovy Agohayon from the Security Department and Ms. Barbara Cordova was the Top female faculty/employee. The 6th placer in the Men’s open category John Thomas Miranda was also the Top male high school Student, and the 3rd placer in the Women’s open category Clarice Agape Aujero became the Top female high school student.

Rev. Fr. Louie Gabinete, OAR initiated this activity with the objective of helping patients undergoing dialysis.
