The Negros team to the 1st Philippine Sports Federation for the Deaf( PSFD) won the 1st runner-up trophy in Basketball recently. The Team of hearing-impaired from Negros was mentored by Christopher Lloyd Uy with co-coaches Norman Pasamonte and Christopher Ferraris. Their Spiritual Director is Rev. Fr. Sixto Bitangjol,OAR.
Team members are: Neil Yan Chin; Mario Dumapias; John Cival Aboy; Michael John Adolfo; Froilan Madayag III; Rowel Gilyana; Frederick Badoy; Julez Palada; Richard Christian Condo; Amon Monteras; Eli Ong; Jeobert Sadaya; Michelle Murillo; and Ricky Shem Chua.
The group is part of the Welcome Home Foundation and is a beneficiary of the UNO-R High School Community Extension Program. The team is having their practice games at UNO-Recoletos and played against other teams in the university.
