To foster the children’s nationalistic involvement in our society, the Elementary Department will celebrate “Linggo ng Wika” on August 21-26 with the theme “Wika Mo, Wikang Filipino, Wika ng Mundo, Mahalaga!”
The following contests will be held:
I-II Drawing Contest
III- Slogan Making Contest
IV- Tula Writing Contest
V – Comic Strip making Contest
VI – Short Story Writing Contest
There will be some mini- posters to be decorated on the walls of the corridors to remind all the graders of the nationalistic attitude of a true Filipino – like “Mga Salita sa Iba’t Ibang Dayalekto”, “Kasaysayan ng Wikang Filipino” “Mga Bugtong” and “Mga Salawikain”.
The celebration will be highlighted by the wearing of the Filipino costumes on August 26. It will be followed by the search for “Best in Filipiniana Costume” and “Best in Ethnic Costume” in two levels; Level 1 (contest among pupils) and Level 2 (contest among teachers).
There will be a Musical Program and a Quiz Bee:
I – Lip synch
II – Rap
III- Song Interpretation
IV- OPM Vocal Solo
V- Native Dance
VI – MTV
A barrio fiesta will be held at lunch time. In the afternoon, there will be some games to be played like sack race, going to market, calamansi relay, “karera ng tagak” and message relay.
An awarding ceremony will end the celebration.
