UNO-R HONORS EMPLOYEES

The University of Negros Occidental Recoletos awarded the Star of Tolentine Awards; the St. Ezekiel Moreno Service Awards; and the Diwa Rekoleto Service Awards to its employees for services rendered to the university. The Service Awards 2019 was held on September 14, 2019, 5 PM at the university main lobby. The star of Tolentine Award is given to employees who have reached the age of 60. The St. Ezekiel Moreno Awards is given to an employee who has rendered service to the university for 25, 30 and 35 years. While the Diwa Rekoleto Service Award is given to employees who had served the university for 10, 15 and 20 years. This year’s Star of Tolentine awardees are Nathaniel G. Balbasin, Virginia C. Mugar, and Barbara L. Cordova. The recipients for the St. Ezekiel Moreno Awards are Barbara L. Cordova; Leila T. Marba; Ma. Cristina M. Quillo for their 35th year of service; Yolanda E. Fernandez; Marlene V. Gelotin; Ma. Judy B. Legaspi; Ma. Luisa C. Papa; and Lyn S. Villarente for their 30th year of Service; Cendyl S. Ayagan; Mary Jane M. Concel ; Julio Jude S. Rosales; Mary Jane S. Barayoga; Maria Kanaway L. Blanco; and Marilou G. Calaguing for their 25th year of service. The Diwa Rekoleto service awardees are Jovito D. Moral and Adelyn D. Sia for their 20th year; Sheila P. Arnibal, Helen Jill D. Matus, and Rogelio P. Montinola for 15th year of service; and Alfredo D. Alave; Venus R. Blancia; Vanessa M. Candelario; Arlene S. Esplanada; Liezl Y. Pamatian; Jasmin L.Parreňo; Marites P. Segovia and Nice Joy A. Tordillos. Awarded also were the employees who registered zero tardiness and absences. The awardees were Angie Tijing; Rodelyn Talapiero; Sarah Jane Gayat; Joelittle Aritao; Cristina Su-ay; Armando Villanueva, Sr.; Rogelio Montinola; Jeho Vidal; Judy Mendoza; Lynn Torreblanca; Maricel Pacio; Bismark Peňascoza; Gerardo Fandida, Jr.; Dominador Villanueva, Jr.; Rowela Javier; and Teresita Golez. Ms Leila Marba and Mrs. Ma. Cristina M. Quillo gave the responses in behalf of the St. Ezekiel Moreno and Diwa Rekoleto Awards while Mrs. Barbara Cordova and Mrs. Virginia Mugar gave their responses for the Star of Toletine Awards. The program opened with the formalities and the rationale of the awards was read by Fray Walthrode Conde, OAR and Fray Don Besana, OAR gave the inspirational message which was based on the famous quote, “Pray as if everything depended on God and Work as if everything depended on you.” He also thanked the employees for the dedication and loyalty to the university. Dinner preceded the awarding rites. Maestro Michael Tambasen entertained the audience during dinner. Intermission numbers from Non Certus and Jubilate Deo Chorale were given. The Closing message was given by Fray Ronel P. Gealon, OAR. In his message he led a prayer for the awardees and he also congratulated and thanked the organizers of the program.
