STEP-RITTC DIRECTOR ATTENDS TESDA ORIENTATION

The Director of Special Technological and Educational Programs (STEP) Office– Recoletos Industrial and Technological Training Center (RITTC), Dr. Nena P. Samillano, participated in the orientation on the implementation of Diploma Level 5 Qualifications in Tech-Voc education program on October 2, 2019 at Central Philippines State University (CPSU) Accreditation Center, Camingawan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental. The program started with the usual opening formalities and was followed by opening remarks from Dr. Fernando D. Abello, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Then, Dr. Salvador C. Cartor, Jr., the Dean of CAF acknowledges the participants of the event. The Regional Director of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) of Region VI, Dir. Gaspar S. Gayona had scheduled a meeting with the different State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the Region and comprehensively discussed and presented the aforementioned program. Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, CPSU President also delivered his message for the participating SUCs and his vision about the program. Also, this initiative is in pursuit of realizing the core of the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF). The program was closed by Dr. Joel A. Perez, Vice President for Research and Extension. Among the participating SUCs and partners were CPSU Main, CPSU Sipalay, CPSU Hinigaran, CPSU Candoni, UNO-R, VMA, and Sedar College. (news by Elmeer Meeynard Calimpos)
