UNO-R RITTC JOINS TESDA SILVER ANNIVERSARY

The UNO-R Recoletos Industrial and Technological Training Center (RITTC) joined the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) on its Silver Anniversary celebration highlighting its tagline: “TESDA, Abot Lahat” on August 23, 2019, at Ayala Malls Capitol Central, Bacolod City. The main objectives of the activity are to showcase the history of TESDA and ATINO, the talents of the Technical- Vocational Institutions, and to celebrate the 25th year of success and struggles of TESDA in reaching various sectors in the country. The activity was organized by Association of Technical Institutions of Negros Occidental (ATINO) and TESDA Negros Occidental Provincial Office. The program started with the usual opening formalities and was followed with a welcome message delivered by Dr. Kathryn D. Orcena, President of ATINO. She expressed her gratitude to all the stakeholders who became part of the undertakings and emphasized the guidance and provisions of Almighty God in helping a large segment of population in Negros. Also, Rolando P. Juanillo, Provincial Director of TESDA delivered his inspirational message to the large crowd. PD Juanillo stressed that TESDA has been serving the country for 25 years and continuously providing scholarships to different TVI’s in the country. Alongside, Ms. Charina Tan, executive assistant to the governor of Negros Occidental conveyed a speech in behalf of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson. She highlighted that the province has been supporting technical skills related initiatives such as TESDA programs to enrich the lives of every Negrosanon. Thus, Gov. Lacson will always continue to support TESDA in every implementation that may serve its purpose. Meanwhile, PD Juanillo together with the ATINO Officers and administrators of all TVI’s led the blowing and slicing of Anniversary Cakes. Moreover, the afternoon was filled with spice and fun as the 26 TVI’s showcased their talents and skills on stage. Further, ATINO awarded the certificates of recognition to all performers. Alongside, there were also raffle prizes that were given away to the winners of the celebration. The community singing was led by Dr. Nena P. Samillano, Director of UNO-R RITTC.
