After successfully defending his dissertation “Trend Analysis of University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Enrollment: Basis for Alternative Sources of Revenues”, Rev. Fr. Demetrio S. Peñascoza, OAR, President of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), Bacolod City, has finally complied with the requirements for the degree Doctor of Philosophy major in Development Management at the Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School, UNO-R, Bacolod City.
| At defense scheduled July 2, 2007, Fr. Peñascoza was able to present a trend analysis of the UNO-R College Enrollment for the past five (5) years with the aim of proposing intervention schemes that will generate alternative sources of revenues for the institution.

| Specifically, his study focused on the enrollment profile per college of UNO-R for the past five school years, the trend of the UNO-R enrollment per college based on the past five years, the internal and external factors that could have attributed to the trend of enrollment, the profile of the school’s expenditures for the last five years, and the correlation between enrollment and the school’s expenditures.
After careful evaluation, the panel declared Fr. Peñascoza’s study as Most Outstanding Dissertation and recommended that the same be recognized in the University. The panel of evaluators composed of Ma. Dolores V. Ramos, Ph.D., Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School (RBGS) Consultant as Chairman; Milagros M. Romero, Ph.D., RBGS Coordinator as Member; Rev. Fr. Lauro V. Larlar, OAR, Prior Provincial as Member; and Isabela L. Mahler, Ed.D., DPA as CHED Representative. Sitting as Adviser for Fr. Peñascoza was Ferdinand Y. Tomakin, Ed.D., Ph.D., Research Director of University of San Jose-Recoletos, Cebu City.
