Fray Luis De Leon Library Celebrates National Book Week

In celebration of the 79th National Book Week, the library scheduled several activities from November 24- December 3, 2013 with the theme “Libraries: Preservers and Promoters of Culture and Arts”. The activities included film showing, book exhibit on culture and the arts, storytelling sessions, bulletin board quiz, borrower of the day (tertiary, secondary and elementary) and Library Book Mobile Visit at Don Enrique Lizares Elementary School in Talisay City, Negros Occidental. The culminating activity was held on December 3, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at the Fray Luis de Leon Library Building. The program included the opening of the Photo Exhibit of the Mobile Library Activities since 2010, the official launching of the FLDL Book Mobile Program, the blessing of the latest library service- E-Book Reader Corner and the Awarding of Top Borrowers and IMC Users of SY 2012-2013. Fr. Cornelio E. Moral, OAR blessed the E-Book Reader Corner and Fr. Jorge D. Peligro, OAR gave the inspirational message. Cocktails followed after the program. Ms. Frances June Pepito, Grade 3 receives a gift as top Borrower and Fr.Moral during the opening of the National Book Week from the Grade School.
