LAW STUDENTS ELECT 2013 OFFICERS

The Barrister Club of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos School of Law held its election of officer for 2013-2014 Saturday, and Chief Insp. Rico Santotome Jr., former spokesperson of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, was elected president, its press release said. The other officers are Agnes Bermeo, Vice President; Claire Pedrosa, Secretary; Grace Benitez, Treasures; Karen Sabandal, Auditor; Darry Abaygar, Business Manager; and Adrian Nemes III, Public Information Officer. Jan Anthony Saril is the club adviser, and Atty. John Paolo Villasor is the college dean, the press release also said. Santotome, who succeeded Rey Cordero of the Seniors, said the first activity to be undertaken by the School of Law will be the acquaintance party on July 27, facilitated by the sophomores led by Bermeo. Other events are the ‘BeerOps’, sportsfest and the Barristers Night that will be scheduled later this year, the press release added.
