The UNO-Recoletos College of Information Technology has once again been designated as Center of Development (COD) in the Negros Island Region (Region XVIII) by the Commission on Higher Education through CMO #38 s. 2015. The College has been subjected to an inspection by a technical team who evaluated the program under the following criteria: Instructional Quality (45%); Research and Publication (30%); Extension and linkages (20%); and Institutional Qualifications (5%). As COD, UNO-R College of Information Technology is a priority in the selection of CHED institutional partners with regards to other CHED development projects and is entitled to other non-monetary subsidies and awards such as graduate scholarships for faculty members, priority for CHED Research grants, consideration for conversion to university status and identification as autonomous and deregulated HEI’s. As COD, the college is expected to develop instructional programs through faculty development activities and upgrading of facilities and library holdings; and establish linkages with COEs in the same discipline to further improve their capability to undertake research in the field. UNO-R College of IT has been designated as Center of Development in 2000, 2007 and 2015. Based on the CMO list, UNO-Recoletos is the only COD in Information Technology in the Negros Island Region.
