UNO-R High School Bids for Accreditation

 

The University of Negros Occidental –Recoletos High School Department undergoes Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) formal visit on November 28 -29. The PAASCU Formal survey team is composed of: Debra Liamzon (High School Principal, Immaculate Conception Academy, San Juan City) – Chairperson and Area on Administration; Ms. Rosie Moscoso (former faculty member ,Xavier School, San Juan City) – Area on Faculty; Ms. Myrna Abiog (member, PAASCU Commission on Secondary Education) – Area on Instruction; Ms. Victorina Soria (BED Upper level Librarian, Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, Iloilo City) – Library; Dr. Vicente Araneta (former Professor, Natural Science and Math Department, UP-Cebu) –Area on Laboratories and Physical Plant; Ms. Frances Almario (Coordinator, Counseling and Testing Services, Colegio de la Immaculada Concepcion – Mandaue City, Cebu) – Area on Student Services; Mrs. Socorro Laplana (Curriculum and Accreditation Coordinator, Cebu International School, Cebu City ) – Area on School and Community; and Ms. Rose Asoy – PAASCU Representative.
This is the first accreditation process that the Department will undergo after 67 years of existence. The UNO-R High School Department is headed by Rev. Fr. Eduardo “EDCEL” Celiz, OAR.
Meanwhile, UNO-R High School Bath 2012 Alumnus and Eagle Scout Jemar Xavier Magno Del Castillo passed the Board of Review for the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Gold Anahaw Award last October 23. He is the 1st awardee of Bacolod City. He had been a recipient of the Bronze and Silver Anahaw awards in the past years. Del Castillo is also the recipient of the Catholic Scout – Philippines, Ave Maria Cross Award given last November 9, 2012. He is also the 1st awardee from Negros Occidental. He is the son of Jerry and Margiolina Magno del Castillo of Bacolod City.
